Bandwagon Trends To Dominate 2012

Year 2012 was overwhelmed with fashion and bandwagon trends. Most of trends were come back from the 80s and 90s. With western dresses running the show considerably, Indian ethnic dresses banged the list with a great difference. 2012 brought new zing in traditional dresses, flaunted by celebrities in various hues, prints and styles.
Anarkalis

The trend that top-notched the list is the Designer Anarkali Suits. From wedding functions to red carpet dresses, from daily soaps to movies, Anarkalis were prominently flaunted by every diva. This time with longer length almost touching the toes, Anarkali dresses in vibrant hues with opulent sequins work was on high nerves of every Indian woman. Divas vigorously spotted in Anarkali salwar kameez this year included Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla and Ashwarya.

The next happening trend that blew fashion is the Indian traditional sarees. Be it Kareena Kapoor's sensual sarees in film Heroine or Rani Mukherjee's graceful wedding saree collection, the six yard wonder created a great influence this year. The traditional cholis have been replaced with trendy halter and stringed ones further adding glam to the attire. 

Animal Prints
Prints also dominated the fashion scenario in a great way. Animal prints comprising tribal prints, tiger prints, zebra prints was quiet popular in mini dresses, jumpsuits, leggings and animal printed sarees. Celebs including Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Malaika Arora Khan sizzled on screen flaunting their dresses in animal prints. 

 Floral Prints

With animal prints adding a dash on one hand, floral prints also made a mark on the other. From floral printed sarees to short skirts and evening gowns, floral prints set sensual yet refreshing trend. Priyanka Chopra, Soha Ali Khan, Shipa Shetty were the trend setters of floral prints. 

Jewellery
2012 brought classy jewellery patterns that mesmerized every Indian lady. Diamond danglers, beautifully studded kundan and stones in earring and neck pieces were all time hit this year. Gorgeous jhumkas, round shaped gold and antique jewellery was embraced with traditional wear by Bollywood hotties like Shilpa Shetty, Rekha, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan whereas trendy and chic designs were in adorned by Kareens, Katrina, Anushka and many more.
